Sharing and Collaboration
What you'll learn in this chapter
In this chapter, you’ll explore the different ways to share your hive data and collaborate with others using MyBroodMinder.
You’ll learn how to grant access to fellow beekeepers, publish data on BeeCounted, create shareable dashboards for social media or colleagues, and even set up Educational Dashboards for schools, associations, or public displays.
Whether for teamwork, transparency, or outreach, these tools help you connect your beekeeping with the wider world.
From MyBroodMinder you have many options to share your hives with other beekeepers and friends:
Share with another user
Share an Apiary (in the Apiary … > share ) with another MyBroodMinder user simply enter his/her account email. Acces is granted per apiary, in read only mode. They will see apiary and hives but not devices.

Share a (read only) dashboard url with other people and even on social media using an URL. Simply move to the Dashboard top left menu … > share):.
When creating the url you will notice that you have some choices : which hives to share, what time frame, frozen or continuous etc..

If you want to display charts on your own website (or on your bee club’s website), you can reuse the shared dashboard URL and embed it into your page using an iframe. Simply pass the URL to your webmaster — they’ll know how to handle the integration.
This allows you to publish live, read-only hive data directly on your site, without exposing your MyBroodMinder account.

Educational Dashboards
Educational Dashboards are the most elegant way to share your hives with non-beekeepers. Designed for schools, associations, municipalities, companies, and hive sponsorship programs, they transform hive data into a clear and engaging experience that anyone can understand.
These dashboards combine live hive data, weather information, blooming cycles, and colony population estimates into a single visual interface. Visitors can follow the colony's activity, observe nectar flows, track bee populations, and better understand the relationship between pollinators and their environment.

Typical applications include:
- Corporate hive sponsorship programs
- Environmental education in schools
- Public exhibitions and visitor centers
- Municipal biodiversity projects
- Association outreach programs
Educational Dashboards are an additional layer built on top of MyBroodMinder, combining professional-grade hive monitoring with a simplified and engaging experience for non-beekeepers. The service is available in two levels:
Template Dashboard
The Template Dashboard is a ready-to-use solution based on an existing BroodMinder educational dashboard design.
It can be customized with:
- Your logo and branding
- Apiary and hive pictures
- Organization information
- Hive-specific content
This option provides a professional educational experience with minimal setup time and is ideal for most projects.
Custom Dashboard
For organizations seeking a unique experience, we can develop a fully customized dashboard tailored to your communication goals and audience.
Custom dashboards can incorporate:
- Dedicated page layouts
- Custom branding and color schemes
- Educational content
- Videos and multimedia elements
- Additional charts and metrics
- Corporate or association messaging
- Interactive elements
- Multiple information screens
- Links to external resources and websites
The dashboard becomes a true communication platform built around your project, your audience, and your objectives.
Designed for non-beekeepers
Educational Dashboards are intentionally simplified and focus on storytelling and engagement. They complement — rather than replace — the advanced tools available in MyBroodMinder for hive management.

Share an apiary beecounted.org (in the Apiary … > share, see above). By default, all free acounts are sharing on beecounted.

EU Pollinator Hub
As a BroodMinder user, you can share your apiary data with the EU Pollinator Hub. Simply check the Share option at the apiary level to contribute directly to Europe’s pollinator-protection efforts.
